The USO of Northern Ohio offers a variety
of programs and services for deployed military personnel
as well as their families here at home. Donations for any of our programs can be
dropped off at the locations by clicking button in side

Care
Packages
-
A
care package is a box filled with comfort items that lets
our troops know that we appreciate what they are
doing. This touch of home is tremendous morale boost
for those serving far from home.

Office and Canteen at the Military Entrance Processing
Station
- We
provide refreshments, information, and encouragement to
applicants, their families and military personnel, as well
as provide support for our troops and their families.

Bob
Hope USO Lounge at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
- This
is a place for recruits, transiting military personnel and
military families to relax in a comfortable environment.
It is located by the police station on the baggage claim
level.

Mothers
of Military
-
The
mission of M.O.M. is to be a support and informational
network for mothers and fathers with children in the
military. To work with communities, organizations and
individuals in an effort to create an educational and caring
support network that will address the concerns surrounding
the involvement of their children in military efforts and
when they return home. Mothers Of Military - M.O.M. - is a
program of the USO of Northern Ohio and Operation Homelink.

and Referrals -
We provide information and
support to military personnel and their families.

Letters
from Home
- Mail is very important to military personnel
who are far from home. This is a wonderful project for
schools, scout troops, church groups and assisted living
facilities. Your messages of encouragement and support
become treasured possessions of those who receive them.

Operation Holiday Trees -
These are 12-inch decorated
trees to help with morale.

Neck Coolers
-
These cooling wraps provide
our troops much needed relief from the 100+ degree heat.

Baskets

These baskets can be raffled off to raise funds for
special needs.

Baby
Sea Bags
-
These baby layettes are
provided to military families with new little ones.
Volunteers are needed to sew the bags, make baby clothes and
blankets and provide baby items.

Discount
Tickets
-
Some area attractions and sporting events offer discounts
to military personnel. We also hold drawings for
FREE
Indians,
Browns and Cavalier tickets for Military.

Operation
Bundle Up -
We send handmade
scarves to our troops to keep them warm during extreme
temperature changes.
|
Outreach
-
We are committed to supporting Active Duty Personnel,
National Guard and Reserve Units. Please let us know
how we can help with unit deployments and homecomings,
family days, holiday parties and family support meetings by
providing refreshments and information.

Operation Families First
-
In
2006, 95.5 The Fish, AM1220 WHKW, and WKYC Channel 3
partnered with the USO of Northern Ohio to provide gifts
to over 4000 military children.

Recognition

Annually, the USO and the AUSA host a luncheon for the
military personnel nominated by their units as the best of
the best. At this time, we also recognize
civic and community people who have
given much support to the troops.
